“Stops” and “Residency Prints” are the names of the cycles of poems

In one of the books of Alexander Korotko of past years we find a large collection of poems with the title of the chapter “Stops”, and in the new book “Poetics. Favorites” we find “Residency Prints”. These poems about countries and cities talk about the possibility of stopping and looking around, virtually for the reader and creatively real for the poet. Many poems are metaphorically complex, a whole world opens up behind their images – immense, sometimes mystical.

When you present selected poems on the main page, you always face the problem of choice. How difficult it is to find the best among the best! Here is one of many:

LVIV

Today’s news continues the theme of the previous one. But if last week “Greece” and “Spain” were published, now we are proposing to travel back to Kiev in 2008, 2014 and 2017, when three parts of this wide poetic work were written about the city that had long become native to Alexander Korotko.
