Jewish poetry of Alexander Korotko will be translated into English

Michael Pursglove began to translate the manuscript “City of Red Brides” into English. This is a collection of poems of a Jewish theme, diverse in genre attitude. There, the early poems with the freshness of worldview and images coexist with mature works with deep philosophical thoughts about the life and death, the destiny of man and, of course, the faith. The manuscript has two large sections: Verses and Poems. The second section makes a strong impression on readers. These are fragments of the poem “Venice”, as well as the full texts of the poems “Jerusalem”, “Joseph and Jacob” and “Abraham and Isaac”.The first few translations of Michael Pursglove are ready already, and on the Home page we publish two poems – in the original language and in English.
