New century

A previous issue of the magazine published works that presented Alexander Korotko’s poetry to the Israeli public – a biographical essay and a review of his artwork. This issue contains a large selection of poetry: sections of the poem “Towards the Dawn” and selected verses from the book “Moon Boy”.

 

НАСЛЕДНИКИ

Изобилие падших времен. День-кузнечик весну сторожит.
Дождь-паломник в разлуку влюблен, как осиновый лист
на ветру он дрожит. Вертикальное счастье по струнам небесным
на землю бежит, словно полчища гуннов. Так рождаются
в мире подлунном на закате истории славных знамен витражи.

Горькими губами, горем гневным говорить глаголы гибнущих

миров, голым словом уходить из школы собственной надежды,

плыть под парусами бешеных ветров. Только лишь гонимые

обретают силу. возвращают сердцу падшие долги, и бредут по

свету нищих судеб тени – наши конвоиры и ночей бездомных

вечные враги.
