“When we talk about life and death…”

* * *
When we talk about life and death, it is hard to deny that when we are there, there is no death.
And vice versa, when there is death, there is no us.
Everything is fine, and there’s nothing to worry about since we’ll never meet it.
And everything would be fine if it weren’t for the War….
It’s different now. We’ve met death.
Some might say, but it’s not your death.
But it makes it even more painful when yellow and blue flags are swaying in the wind all over our long-suffering land.
They are like a metronome beating to the beat of the heartbeat of our fallen soldiers.
