Written in late 2013 and published on the site, facebook and in the press a poem «To Valaam» does not leave many and many indifferent. The theme of the disfellowship of the disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War for poetic incarnation is extremely complex and even dangerous – it was necessary to avoid straightforwardness, melodrama, declarativeness and to be able to raise the spirit of those who were ruthlessly declared as a subhuman. Journalist Sophia Minkwitz praised this work of Alexander Korotko as a writer and as a citizen in her essay “Doomed to a feat”, which is placed on the page of the site “Reviews”.
