A fresh look at Alexander Korotko’s poem “Abraham and Isaac”

This poem, written in 2007 – 2008, published more than once, heard in author’s reading at the Israeli radio “Reka” and translated into other languages. This poem has already become a history. However, over time, the interest had not faded away. Falling into the sight of literary critics, translators, publishers, the poem leaves little uninterested, people feel the need to talk out, analyze it, point to the unconditional advantages of the author’s text That’s how this work obtained a curator, writer and academic scholar Dmitry Drozdovsky (holder of many other titles), who told about the poem to other specialists of his circle. The Jewish poet (Yiddish), ethnographer and literary critic, Doctor of Philology, Professor Velvl Chernin (Israel) wrote his review of this poem in the form of a critical article or even a preface to its possible publication, and the great master of the poetic word Michael Pursglove (London) translated it into English. The author is immensely grateful to everyone who appreciated his work so highly and made it possible for English-speaking readers, and those who speak Hebrew, to get to know the opinions of professionals. This article in Hebrew and English is placed on the corresponding page of the site, and we invite visitors to get acquainted with this example of talented criticism: https://korotko-poetry.com/vopros-avraama
